See that the fruit is clean. Peel and core the apples. Tie skins and cores in muslin bag. Slice fruit very thinly, cover with water. Add muslin bag, allow to stand 24 hours.

Bring slowly to boiling point, simmer until tender [about 1 hour]. Remove muslin bag, add warmed sugar, continue cooking until mixture "jells" when tested on cold saucer.

Bottle while hot, seal and label when cold.
